Atlas H38 UV Unit

The Atlas H38 UV unit’s 38 litres per minute capacity is precisely calibrated for smaller homes, cottages, and single-occupancy properties.

Right-Sized for Smaller Properties

Rather than paying for unnecessary capacity, you’re investing in exactly the disinfection performance you need, whilst maintaining the same professional-grade components and intelligent controls found in larger Atlas systems.

The Most Compact High-Output System

At just 418mm in length, the Atlas H38 UV unit is the shortest chamber in the Atlas H Range. This ultra-compact design opens up installation possibilities unavailable to longer systems, tight utility cupboards, under-sink installations, narrow plant rooms, even mobile applications like touring caravans with permanent hookups. Small footprint, full protection.

High-Output Technology in Miniature

Don’t confuse compact with compromised. The 34-watt high-output lamp delivers the same UV intensity per watt as its larger siblings, achieving full 30 mJ/cm² disinfection in a shorter chamber. This is engineered efficiency, concentrated UV power where space is at a premium.

Energy Sipping Operation

At just 36 watts total consumption, the Atlas H38 UV unit is one of the most energy-efficient whole-house UV systems available. Running continuously 24/7, it consumes approximately £40-45 worth of electricity annually, less than many TV boxes left on standby. Minimal environmental impact, minimal running costs, maximum peace of mind.

Premium Materials, Compact Package

The Atlas H38 UV unit doesn’t cut corners on construction. The same 316L marine-grade stainless steel used in the H151 flagship model forms the H38’s reactor chamber. The same polished internal surface. The same 10-year warranty. You’re getting full Atlas engineering standards regardless of system size.

Controller Intelligence Scaled Down

The full-featured ACH controller brings sophisticated monitoring to smaller properties. Full-colour LCD feedback, lamp life countdown, automatic diagnostics, QR code support, everything larger systems offer. Smaller capacity doesn’t mean reduced intelligence or compromised information.

Three-Quarter Inch Connections

The ¾” MNPT connections match typical plumbing in smaller properties, cottages, and installations where 1″ pipework would be oversized. This appropriately-sized connection reduces installation complexity whilst maintaining adequate flow capacity for the system’s design parameters.

Upgrade Path Retained

Small property today doesn’t mean small property forever. The Atlas H38 UV unit features the same Infinite Expandability Port found across the H Range. Add UV monitoring when you install a water softener. Integrate remote alarming when you add home automation. Connect a solenoid valve for automatic water shutoff. Your system evolves with your needs.

Complete UK Support Infrastructure

WRAS approved for British water treatment applications. UK-based technical support. Cambridgeshire spare parts inventory. Comprehensive documentation in English. The Atlas H38 UV unit might be compact, but the support network behind it certainly isn’t, you’re backed by the same resources as larger commercial installations.

Ideal for Specialised Applications

The Atlas H38 UV unit’s compact dimensions make it perfect for applications beyond typical residential use: touring caravans with permanent water supplies, shepherd’s huts, glamping pods, small workshops, garden offices with water supplies, mobile catering units, anywhere space is constrained but water quality cannot be compromised.

Applications

The Atlas H38 UV Unit is ideal for:

  • Smaller homes and cottages with 1–2 bathrooms
  • Properties with modest water consumption and standard fixtures
  • Point-of-entry protection for smaller private water supplies
  • Caravans and park homes with permanent water connections
  • Small workshops and outbuildings requiring treated water

Atlas H38 UV Unit

Q: Can I install the Atlas H range series outdoors?

A: No. The Atlas H range must be installed indoors in a dry location protected from freezing temperatures.

Q: Do I need the UV sensor module?

A: Whilst not mandatory, the UV sensor module provides real-time monitoring of UV intensity and alerts you to cleaning requirements or lamp degradation before the scheduled replacement date. It offers valuable additional protection.

Q: What happens if the lamp fails?

A: The controller immediately detects lamp failure, sounds a constant alarm, and displays a “lamp failure” warning screen. If the solenoid module is fitted, water flow is automatically shut off.

Q: Can I upgrade my system later?

A: Yes. The H Range’s Infinite Expandability Port allows you to add UV sensors, solenoid valves, remote alarms, and other modules at any time without replacing the base system.

Q: How do I know when to change the lamp?

A: The controller counts down lamp life in days. You’ll receive a 7-day advance warning with an audible chirp, and a red alarm screen when the lamp expires.

Q: What’s included in the warranty?

A: 10 years on the stainless steel reactor, 3 years on electronics and controller, and 1 year on lamps, quartz sleeves, and sensors. Full warranty terms apply see owner’s manual for details.

Q: Is there an installation manual?

A: Yes please see below or visit Atlas UV for additional support.
