Commercial Capacity Without Commercial Complexity: 25 Litres Per Minute of Mercury-Free Protection
The UV LED 25LPM Water Steriliser delivers commercial-grade, chemical-free disinfection for demanding food service, hospitality, healthcare, and institutional applications. Treating up to 25 litres per minute of RO water or 12-18 litres of filtered water, this compact unit eliminates up to 99.9% of harmful bacteria and viruses using energy-efficient UV-C LED technology, intelligent flow-activated operation, and robust construction with 3,000-hour LED lifespan – all whilst consuming just 23W and maintaining water temperature for critical commercial applications.
UV LED 25 LPM
The UV LED 25 LPM Water Steriliser delivers commercial-grade disinfection capacity in a compact, energy-efficient package designed for demanding applications. Using advanced UV-C LED technology, this high-performance unit eliminates up to 99.9% of harmful bacteria, viruses, and protozoa whilst treating up to 25 litres per minute – ideal for busy commercial environments, larger households, and light industrial facilities requiring reliable, chemical-free water protection.
High-Volume Performance, Compact Footprint
The UV LED 25LPM model delivers substantial commercial capacity (1,500 litres per hour) whilst maintaining a relatively compact form factor at 360mm × 140mm. This makes it suitable for installations where space is constrained but water demand is high – equipment rooms, under-counter commercial installations, or plant room retrofits.
Purpose-Built for Commercial Environments
Specifically engineered for applications with sustained high flow requirements – busy restaurants, commercial kitchens, larger dental practices, care facilities, small hotels, or multi-outlet retail food service. Handles peak demand periods without compromising disinfection efficacy or requiring multiple smaller units in parallel.
Standard 3/4″ Commercial Connections
Features 3/4″ BSP threaded connections – the standard for light commercial plumbing – enabling straightforward integration with commercial filtration systems, booster pump installations, and food service equipment without requiring oversized 1″ pipework or undersized domestic fittings.
Optimised for Both Filtered and RO Water
Treats up to 25 litres per minute of reverse osmosis water or 12-18 litres per minute of filtered water – providing flexibility for different pre-treatment configurations. The higher filtered water capacity (versus smaller models) makes it particularly suitable for installations using sediment and carbon filtration rather than RO.
Energy-Efficient 23W Operation
Despite its commercial capacity, the unit consumes just 23W – comparable to a small LED light bulb. The intelligent flow-activated switching ensures LEDs operate at full power only during water flow, dropping to 20% standby mode when idle, delivering continuous protection with minimal impact on operating costs.
3 Litre Per Minute Activation Threshold
The higher minimum activation flow (3 L/min) is intentionally designed for commercial applications, preventing nuisance activation from minor leaks or pressure fluctuations whilst ensuring the unit activates reliably for all genuine usage patterns. This threshold suits commercial equipment and multiple-outlet installations where water demands are consistently substantial.
Visual Status Monitoring
Integrated LED indicator provides immediate operational status feedback – blue for standby, green for active treatment, red when LED replacement is due. Essential for commercial compliance, HACCP documentation, and maintenance scheduling in regulated environments.

What’s the difference between UV LED and traditional UV lamp systems?
UV LED systems offer several significant advantages over conventional UV lamps:
▪️Mercury-Free Technology:
UV LEDs contain no toxic mercury, eliminating environmental contamination risks during operation and disposal
▪️Instant Activation:
LEDs reach full germicidal power immediately, whereas traditional lamps require 3-5 minutes warm-up time
▪️Lower Energy Consumption:
Operating at 50W with intelligent standby mode, UV LEDs consume significantly less power than continuously-operating traditional UV lamps
▪️Extended Lifespan:
5,000 hours operational life provides longer service intervals compared to conventional 9,000-12,000 hour lamp life
▪️No Heat Generation:
UV LEDs don’t increase water temperature, whilst traditional lamps can add several degrees
▪️Durable Construction:
Solid-state design eliminates fragile glass tubes vulnerable to breakage or pressure damage
How do I know when the UV LED needs replacing?
The unit features an integrated visual status indication system:
▪️Blue Light: Standby mode – unit powered but no water flowing
▪️Green Light: Normal operation – UV LEDs active and water being treated
▪️Red Light: End of service life – LED module requires replacement
When the status indicator shows red, the LED module should be replaced to maintain optimal disinfection performance. Based on typical domestic or commercial use patterns, this usually occurs after 12-24 months depending on daily water consumption. We recommend keeping a spare LED module on hand to minimise any interruption to treated water supply.
Does this unit work with both filtered and reverse osmosis water?
Yes, our UV LED water sterilisers are designed to treat both filtered and reverse osmosis water, though maximum flow rates differ:
▪️Filtered Water (10 micron or finer): Maximum flow rate 37 L/min
▪️Reverse Osmosis Water: Maximum flow rate 50 L/min
The higher flow rate allowable for RO water reflects its superior clarity and UV transmittance compared to filtered water. Regardless of source water type, pre-filtration to at least 10 microns is essential for effective UV disinfection, as suspended particles can shield microorganisms from UV-C exposure. The unit will not function effectively with unfiltered water or water containing visible turbidity.
What flow rate does the unit need to activate, and what’s the maximum it can handle?
Minimum Activation Flow: 7 L/min
The integrated flow switch requires at least 7 litres per minute flowing through the unit to activate the UV LEDs. Below this threshold, the unit remains in standby mode to conserve energy and extend LED lifespan.
Maximum Flow Rates:
37 L/min (2,220 L/hour) for filtered water
50 L/min (3,000 L/hour) for reverse osmosis water
These maximum flow rates ensure sufficient contact time between the UV-C radiation and microorganisms to achieve ≥99.9% disinfection efficacy. Exceeding these flow rates reduces contact time and may compromise treatment effectiveness. For applications requiring higher flow rates, consider installing multiple units in parallel or specifying a higher-capacity model.
Can I install this unit myself, or does it require a professional installer?
Installation complexity depends on your existing plumbing configuration and technical competence:
Suitable for Competent DIY Installation if:
▪️You have basic plumbing skills and appropriate tools
▪️Your installation involves straightforward connections to existing 1″ pipework
▪️You’re comfortable working with threaded pipe connections
▪️Mains electrical supply is readily accessible
Professional Installation Recommended if:
▪️Significant modifications to existing plumbing are required
▪️You’re integrating the unit with commercial equipment or complex water systems
▪️Installation involves hard-wired electrical connections
▪️You’re uncertain about pressure ratings or flow requirements
▪️Local regulations require licensed plumber certification
Key Requirements:
▪️Unit must be installed as the final treatment stage before point of use
▪️Pre-filtration to 10 microns or finer must be in place
▪️Isolation valves should be fitted before and after the unit
▪️Electrical connection must comply with local wiring regulations
▪️System pressure must not exceed 20 bar
When in doubt, consult a licensed plumber or water treatment specialist to ensure compliant installation and optimal performance. Incorrect installation may compromise disinfection effectiveness or void warranty coverage.
